PLANS have been approved for Akenside Developments latest project in North Shields.
The developers, based at Akenside House in Newcastle, have been given the go ahead by North Tyneside Council, to convert and extend the Old Brewery Bond development at North Shields into 23 Manhattan style loft apartments.
"Following the success of Akenside House, we recognised the huge demand from purchasers wanting inner-city apartments and plans for a new development were submitted to North Tyneside Council," said Geoff Britton, Akenside's director.
The Old Brewery Bond site, which dates back to 1871, will include 23 Manhattan style loft apartments offering from 900 to 2,000 sq ft of space.
