A 26-year-old North-East man was arrested yesterday in connection with the shooting of a father-of-two, police said.
Anthony Nixon, 36, was shot through the window of his home as he watched television on June 23.
The former motor dealer suffered injuries to his stomach and foot.
At the time of the incident, Mr Nixon's wife and father-in-law were in the house in America Moor Lane, Morley, near Leeds, and his children were upstairs in bed.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "A 26-year-old Sunderland man was arrested, in Sunderland, today in connection with the recent shooting incident in America Moor Lane, Morley, in which Anthony Nixon was injured.
"He is being questioned at a police station in Leeds."
Since March, the Leeds area has been hit by a spate of shootings, including two murders and seven woundings.
A man has been arrested in connection with one of the incidents and charged with attempted murder, attempted robbery and arson.
