A FURNITURE recycling scheme providing jobs for disadvantaged groups has been set up in South Shields.
Funded by the European Social Fund and the Government's Single Regeneration Budget, South Tyneside Furniture Recycling wants 20 trainees to work in its manufacturing unit. Manager Robert Etherson, said: "We aim to develop people, not only in new skills, but also familiarise them with the culture of work.
