YOUNGSTERS have produced a guide on legal issues affecting teenagers.
Members of Shildon Centre Youth Club produced a pamphlet called the Millennium Low Down, which covers the law on bullying, drugs, smoking, alcohol and vandalism.
PC Martin Slater was invited to The Cells, their weekly meeting held in a former police cell, to speak about the legal issues.
The group of 13 and 14-year-olds then wrote the pamphlet, which is available from the youth centre or Shildon police.
Youth worker Karen Raby said: "They were really interested in this subject, which they wrote for themselves and their peers. We're still deciding where the publication is going to be made available, but hopefully it should go out to schools."
