A Darlington man facing a charge of unlawful and malicious wounding has been bailed by Sedgefield magistrates, Newton Aycliffe. Simon Lewins, 19, of Shildon Street, is alleged to have attacked Gerard Lynch on June 10 at Newton Aycliffe. Prosecutor Bill Brabban asked magistrates for an adjournment for medical reports on the alleged victim's injuries. Lewins will return to the court on July 21.
