FOLLOWING a successful annual meeting at the Kirkbymoorside British Legion Club, the Camerons Beckett League will operate with two divisions of ten teams each next season.
A possible new club, Terrington, is hoping to join the second division and they have been given until July 12 to get their status agreed.
The league has lost two teams, second division champions York RI 3rd's and Pickering Town Reserves.
The winners of the Gazette and Herald Shields for sportsmanship were Thornton le Dale in division one with an average of 8.3 and Old Red House, Thirsk in division two with 8.9.
The John Lambert Trophy was won jointly by Old Red House and Westlers Utd as both sides had only two players cautioned all season.
Next season, which starts on the second Saturday in September, the line-up is as follows:
Div one: Black Swan Pickering, Kirkbymoorside Reserves, Slingsby, Rosedale Abbey Utd, Coxwold, Kirkdale Utd, Thornton le Dale, Sinnington, Union Rovers.
Div two: Duncombe Park, Ampleforth, Gillamoor, Old Malton 3rd's, Bagby & Balk, Pickering Royal Oak, Heslerton Reserves, Westlers Utd, Ryedale Sports Club Res, Old Red House, Thirsk.
Anyone wanting to play for the proposed Terrington team is asked to contact Bridget Richardson on 01904 431685 for further information.
