CIU League
The Ferryhill darts players were among the maximums last week when they entertained Middlestone Moor. Dave Hull heard the magic 180 cry twice while team mates Tony Nixon, Kenny Nicholson and Phil Nixon all hit one each. There were also maximums from Dave Dixon of Stanhope, Micky Reed of Billy Row and Eddie Nixon of Cockton Hill.
The best check out of the week was 136 by Adam Trotter of Billy Row while Dave Bestford and Phil Nixon of Ferryhill both finished in 14 darts.

Willington Cup
I the first leg of the Final, Hunwick Club failed to make use of their home advantage and trailed at the end by 9-5 to Oakenshaw Club. The Hunwick pool players never found their true form as Oakenshaw took the first five points through Frank Lythe, Jason Walton, Dave Bennett, Dale Wilson and Tony Leighton. Ian Richardson took Hunwick's only singles point.
Three dominoes points went to the Hunwick team with wins from Geoff Moffatt, Robert Todd and Ian Richardson while Dave Bennett and Mark Kitching replied for Oakenshaw.
Crook Cup
I the divisional semi-finals of the Games Cup the favourites came through in all four matches. In the First Division semi-final at Crook Olde Horse Shoe A, the visiting Travellers Rest failed to score a point at pool but managed to pick up four at dominoes before going out by a three points margin.
The Shoe had pool points from Gavin Witton, Brian Johnson, Cliff Owens, Gerald Parkin and Richard Walker with Chris Raine and Don Dixon taking dominoes points for them. The Travellers dominoes points came from John Carroll, Eddie Murphy, Colin Howe and John Harker.

Crook 4D's Mixed League
Gwen Varley and John Parkin won the mixed darts pairs to put the White Swan ahead of the visiting Mill House for the first time. Donna Bibby took the first ladies singles but the remaining singles points all went to the Swan. There were two maximums for the Swan players with Gwen Varley hitting one and Darren Yeoman the other when he finished a thirteen darts game. The Swan took two singles and the first pairs at dominoes with the Mill snatching the last two.
In the other match Crook Royal Sun made the biggest win in the league to date when they crushed the visiting Coach and Horses. John Winning and John Moss won the men's darts pairs to put the Sun ahead and they never looked back. Only a singles win by Doug Smailes saved the Coach from a whitewash. Julie Heslop took the first dominoes point for the Sun, whose players kept up the winning streak and prevented the Coach from scoring.
Magnet League
The league's annual meeting will be held at the Hospital Social Club on July 19, at 7.30pm. All teams wishing to enter the league must be represented.
