OLYMPIC rider Karen Dixon is bringing her own horses to Richmond Equestrian Centre for a lecture and demonstration on Thursday, July 20 at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £10 for adults and £7.50 for children pre-booked, but tickets on the night are £2.50 extra. All proceeds will go to the British Equestrian Olympic Fund.
The equestrian centre is now in the hands of new owners, Nicholas and Annabelle Marlow, who hope to establish it as a top class equestrian and competition yard.
They have employed well-known local eventer Sharon Watt (nee Lemon) on a consultancy basis.
Sharon is a previous winner of Bramham Horse Trials and currently competes with her advanced horse Our Dudley, who finished in the top third this year.
She plans to establish regular competitions plus lecture/demonstrations by Olympic riders, as well as training courses for BHS recognised qualifications.
Show jumping instructor Peter Richardson will also be teaching to all levels and Hillary Hindmarsh will give lessons in the increasingly popular dressage to music.
