MUSICIANS were given a bit of extra brass to help them take part in a national festival.
Northallerton College Band took part in the national final of the Music for Youth Festival in the Royal Festival Hall.
And Hambleton District Council donated £162 to help fund the trip to London by the 33 band members.
Leisure chairman Susan Latter said: "Reaching the national final is a huge achievement. The band is made up of hugely enthusiastic and very talented musicians who are a credit to Northallerton College."
