THE North-East is set to hit the world-wide technology map when the it hosts its first ever e-commerce security conference later this year.
Worldwide market leaders in the field of information security from across the globe will descend on County Durham to hear how a group of local, national and global authorities will create a blueprint for successful and secure e-business.
The event is the brainchild of Stockton-based information security specialists Sapphire Technologies, and MD John Morrison said: "The coming of the Internet and the new digital age has revolutionised business processes around the world.
"But the new technology has also brought a host of threats that every company must address if they are to develop more robust secure solutions."
The conference expects to attract international speakers from the fields of information security and legal practice.
