BUDDING young sculptors from Darlington yesterday created their own masterpieces on a riverbank.
Children from High Coniscliffe Primary School spent a day with Teesdale Way artist Keith Barratt, creating giant wooden wildlife sculptures, which will go on display on the banks of the River Tees.
Ideas included a large dragon "crashing through the undergrowth" or a vast snake "slithering out of the River Tees".
Two workshops took place yesterday and local residents were invited to a barbecue last night to view the children's work
