THE childhood misadventures of one of the region's MPs are to be revealed to the nation.
Mo Mowlam, the MP for Redcar, is to appear on a new BBC comedy show called You Only Live Once.
The show, a spoof on This Is Your Life, invites famous people to remember incidents from their past that they would probably rather forget.
Dr Mowlam's appearance on the programme, which is fronted by comedian Nick Hancock, will be shown on Monday, July 24.
A spokeswoman for the show said: "Mo, like most of the guests on the series, had no idea what was going to be said, so she was quite surprised.
"We got to hear some lovely little anecdotes from her childhood and teenage years."
The show was recorded in front of a live audience and includes secretly filmed stories from people who knew Dr Mowlam before she entered politics.
Other celebrities to face their past in the series include Boy George, Edwina Currie and Keith Floyd.
You Only Live Once starts on Monday on BBC1, at 10pm.
