PUPILS at a Teesside primary school will get the chance to quiz MP Ashok Kumar when he visits their lessons today.
The Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland MP will answer questions on racism, prejudice and bullying from the Saltburn Primary School pupils.
The 60 year six children have been looking at the Stephen Lawrence murder and a number of other topical subjects to prepare for the MP's visit.
As well as writing poetry and newspaper reports, the children have created a wall of graffiti, featuring a list of promises for the future.
Tutor Rachel Wills said: "The whole project has been very challenging. We've not just talked black and white but broader issues, including how the work has affected their attitudes.
"The children say it's the best work they've ever done and I agree."
The project was set up to help the pupils with their transition to Huntcliff School, Saltburn, in September.
