A NUMBER of County Durham off-licence premises have lost their liquor licences in the past week after a police crackdown on the sale of alcohol to under-age youngsters.
Police asked magistrates to revoke alcohol licences following a series of initiatives to catch rogue traders.
The scheme was in response to communities in Crook, Willington and Weardale raising concerns over under-age drinking.
The Londis shop in Tow Law, General Dealers Store in Low Willington and Spa shop in Wolsingham all had licences revoked by magistrates after video evidence was used in court.
