VISITORS to Beamish museum will be transported back to the Napoleonic War when a group of Wellington's Redcoats come on parade this weekend.
The 68th Light Infantry Regiment Display Team will demonstrate how life was for soldiers almost 200 years ago on July 15 and 16.
They will demonstrate ranked musket volleys that helped to defeat Napoleon's army, and displays of bayonet and punishment drill. For extra authenticity there will be campfires and cooking and camp followers - the wives and children who followed the soldiers throughout their campaigns.
The colourful pageant will take place between 10am and 5pm each day.
