MEMBERS of different churches will come together for a picnic and day of entertainment on Durham's Palace Green today.
The family fun day is being held from 11am for worshippers of all denominations. Activities will include circus skills workshops, face painting, brass rubbing, singing and dancing.
Entertainers will include Bristol clergyman Roly Bain who is also a clown and the Reverend John Linton, of Pelton, near Chester-le-Street, who is a fire juggler.
An ecumenical service will be held in the cathedral at 1.30pm.
At 3pm, a Millennium play, Two Rivers, will be performed by Jack Drum Arts.
The event is being staged with funding from Millennium Awards For All.
