A DOG club has celebrated its tenth anniversary by scooping top honours at a local show.
Members of the Northallerton Applegarth Dog Club were crowned champions of the It's a Knockout contest on Teesside, when they beat off challenges from Hartlepool and Thornaby clubs.
The Applegarth team took the trophy after a series of games for dogs and their owners.
The success marked the tenth anniversary of the club, which has seen successive dog trainers put more than 450 dogs through their paces during weekly meetings at Sion Hall.
Hambleton community environment officer Hilary Clough-Smith said: "Trainers and the members have given great support to this club over the last ten years."
The club meets every Monday. Further information is available from Jenny Watson on (01642) 860265.
