SPORTS-MAD youngsters have notched up their most successful season in a decade.
Pupils at Ouston Junior School were crowned overall champions at a district athletics meeting that attracted youngsters from 23 schools and were awarded the Neil Dickinson Memorial Trophy.
Mr Dickinson was the first head teacher at Ouston Junior School and a driving force in English schools athletics.
Current head teacher Brian Lowes said: "Mr Dickinson died last year so it is really fitting that we should win the memorial trophy in the year 2000. I've been here for almost ten years and this is our most successful sporting season. The last time we won the trophy was in 1985."
Year five boys, year six girls and the year six team were all winners at the event leading to the school becoming the overall champions.
