THE 147th Sedgefield Agricultural and Horticultural Show will be held on the
Robert Brown Showfield West Park on August 12, and entries are already coming in at a good rate.
Show secretary Susan Curry feels that this augurs well for a successful show.
There will be the usual attractions with a static display by Ridgeside Falconery, quad bikes and trade and craft stands.
There are still a few places left for trade and craft stands and Mrs Curry would like to hear from anyone interested in taking spaces.
Other attractions include floral demonstrations by Smithers-Oasis and music by Trimdon Concert Brass Band.
New in the horse section will be a Dales stallions class.
The show ground opens to the exhibitors at 8am and for spectators at 10am. Admission is £3 for adults (concessions £2) and £1 for children under 16. Ringside car parking is £2 and other parking £1.
Schedules are available detailing closing dates for entries, but in the show jumping and pony sports entries will be taken on the day.
Entries for shepherds' crooks and sticks will also be accepted on the day.
