Crook League
Crook Surtees had a good away win over the Spitfire Club to hold on to their third place in the Second Division. The home side had singles wins from Harry Tait, Kenny Johnson and Eddie Phillipson and they also took both doubles. The Surtees went to victory with two points each from Jason Collingwood, Howard Trotter and John Uren, while Alan Tomlinson, Chris Bainbridge and Paul Ford added one each.
Crook Olde Horse Shoe A are sixteen points clear in the First Division, with Crook Belle Vue second, ten points ahead of the Royal Sun A, who have a match in hand. The Olde Horse Shoe B team have a twenty-three points lead in the Second Division from the Royal Sun B, who are fourteen ahead of the Surtees.

Bishop Auckland League
Third placed Bishop Auckland King's Head's Warren Stamp managed to share the captain's points with Chris Bowran of the visiting second placed Bishop Auckland Derby to take an odd point victory.
The King's had two points from Malcolm Parry and one each from Warren Stamp, Kevin Watson, John Searle and David Jacomb, while the Derby replied with points from Paul Willey, Michael Hoggart, Kevin Stewart and Steve Balanaves. The Derby took the doubles point when Kevin Cranswick and Andrew Delve won.
Crook Olde Horse Shoe lead the table by twenty-five points from the Derby, who are seven ahead of the King's Head.

Sunniside Comedian lead the table by three points from Tow Law New Market B, who are seven points ahead of Lanchester King's Head, who have a match in hand.

Wear Valley League
At a meeting at Tow Law Club it was decided to form an individuals billiards league to start in September. The format to be three frames per match with every player playing every other once at pre-arranged venues, not necessarily the home table of either player.
The table positions would be decided on the number of frames won at the end of the season.
The nine players who entered were; J Bate, A Fleming, N Lowson, N Kirkley, F Lintern, T Lomax, H Hodgson, K Robinson and C.Donaghy. Any other player interested in joining should telephone (01388) 730444 as soon as possible as the fixture list will be completed on 11 August
