VARIETY was the spice of life for Cleveland Retired Men's Association.
The group has discussed food and farming, stained glass, watched 'The True Glory' - a factual film of the Western Front from D Day to VE Day, considered 'a year down under', looked at magistrates courts and finished the month on a serious note, with a talk by Alan Cranke, a pharmacist from South Cleveland Hospital.
Some members of the association are preparing for a day trip to York, organised by Bernie Milburn, while the magic of the North York Moors Railway will be brought to life in a presentation to the Redcar-based association.
A full-length feature film on loan from the Imperial War Museum entitled 'The Next of Kin' will be shown by Peter Whitaker at the Regency Hotel, Coatham Road, Redcar, on Wednesday, August 30 at 10am.
Although average attendances top 70, the association always welcomes new members
