TWO people have been arrested and drugs with a street value of nearly £8,000, seized during raids on Teesside.
About 750 Ecstasy tablets and 40 grams of amphetamines were recovered from a house in the Park Terrace area of Thornaby.
Minutes later, police stormed a house in Lancaster Way in the town, where they found a small quantity of controlled drugs.
A 19-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of possessing class A and class B controlled drugs with intent to supply. They have been given police bail pending forensic examination of the haul.
Detective Constable John Ward, of the specialist squad carrying out the raids, said more arrests would follow.
He said: "Stockton drugs unit will continue to target the suppliers of controlled drugs and the people who provide safe houses for drug dealers.
"We have had numerous successes against drug dealers in the Stockton area and we know we have the support of the public.
"We have been able to build up a good picture of drug dealing activity in this area over the last 12 months and will continue to flush out the dealers."
