WINNERS of a special spot the ball competition have been announced by Durham County Cricket Club.
The contest was held to raise funds for the county's benefit year appeal and tied in with the recent one-day internationals staged at Chester-le-Street's Riverside.
Contestants had to match up numbers placed in shop windows in Chester-le-Street town centre with a list of premises taking part in the competition.
First place went to Beatrice Bainbridge, of Chester-le-Street, who wins the top prize of £100.
Betty Graham, of Craghead, near Stanley, took the second prize of £50, while the third prize of £25 was won by Colin Elsbury, of Chester-le-Street.
