RIDERS will bring horses and ponies from all over the North-East to take part in the Summerhill summer show, in Hartlepool.
The show, which will take place on Sunday, August 6, at a site off Catcote Road, has a wide range of show categories for both young people and adults.
They include tack and turnout displays; best rider championships; best working hunter; and a variety of horse and pony showjumping classes, including a section for youngsters, aged eight and under.
The show, sponsored by local firms, is organised by the Friends of Summerhill, Hartlepool Borough Council and Southbrooke Livery Stables.
Gordon James, of the Friends of Summerhill, said: "We have had lots of interest in the event so far, and we are expecting horses and ponies from areas including Northumberland and Durham."
Tony Davison, Summerhill manager, said: "This is the first event of its kind for Summerhill, and if it is successful we hope to make it an annual event."
The show starts at 9am, and horses and riders should register on the day.
The entry fee for each class is £4, and there will be trophies for winners.
