POLICE are hunting a mugger who left a pensioner with a broken arm after attacking her in broad daylight.
The 69-year-old woman, who has not been named, was attacked as she walked to her daughter's house from a church service at Sacriston, at 11am on Sunday.
As she walked through an alley at Westwood View she was attacked and had her bag snatched. She struggled to hang onto the bag but was thrown to the ground.
The attacker ran off with the bag, which contained a small amount of cash, personal papers and bank cards.
The robber is thought to be in his late teens or early twenties and was wearing dark clothing and a hat.
