AYCLIFFE and District Bus Preservation Society's vintage bus - as featured in hit television show Heartbeat - will be making an appearance in Darlington on Wednesday.
The bus is being brought in by council chiefs to promote Darlington's heritage open days, when it will be giving guided tours.
It will be beside the Dolphin Centre, opposite the town hall, between 9.45am and 10am, and noon and 12.15pm.
The heritage open days take place on September 16 and 17, when 14 venues of historical, cultural and public interest will open their doors for free.
These will include Darlington Railway Centre and Museum, St Cuthbert's Church, Polam Hall School, Manor Farmhouse, Brafferton and Walworth Castle.
Tours will be conducted with guided commentaries over the weekend of the event.
