A new business venture in Yorkshire aims to solve the problem of a growing band of professional people who don't have the time to sort out their social lives. It will do it for them.
The Executive Network is aiming to tap into what is fast becoming a burgeoning market of young, wealthy, single business professionals who have everything but time on their hands and who have limited opportunities to socialise.
The company will organise up to eight different activities each month, bringing together like-minded professionals in a social network. Events will range from white water rafting to wine tasting and from llama trekking in Whitby to theatre trips in London.
Melanie Blakeley, the company's MD, said: "Throughout Yorkshire there are large groups of busy professionals who simply do not have the time to organise their lives outside work hours.
"The Executive Network will solve this problem by organising social, cultural and sporting events each month where people can meet, network and perhaps even find romance.
"Our events will be targeted primarily at people living in the cities and larger towns in the Yorkshire region. This is not to say we wouldn't cater for smaller groups elsewhere. In fact, we plan to roll out the concept nationally."
