LOCAL artists have put their talents on display by taking over a town art gallery.
The Cleveland Art Society's millennium exhibition was opened last night by Middlesbrough Borough Council's head of leisure and arts Phil Rogers.
The society, which was founded in 1884, has taken over Middlesbrough Art Gallery for the exhibition of work, which was chosen by a panel of judges, and will be on sale to the public.
Videos of the society at work will be shown and members will be present until September 16 to talk about the group.
