POLICE have eliminated two women from their inquiries into the murder of Tyneside student Sara Cameron.
The women answered a recent police appeal for witnesses who could provide clues about the final movements of the 23-year-old Finnish student to come forward.
Now police are asking a further seven people who were seen leaving the same Metro train as Sara, at Shiremoor Metro Station, in North Tyneside, on Thursday, April 20.
Sara's naked body was found half a mile from the station, near her flat in Garden Terrace, Earsdon, at 9.30am the following day, which was Good Friday. She had been asphyxiated.
Police have also eliminated more than 100 men from the inquiry after 500 from the Shiremoor and Earsdon areas of Newcastle agreed to be DNA tested.
