YOUNGSTERS in east Cleveland are having a fun climbing aboard a bus with a difference throughout the long summer holidays.
The playbus has been set up by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council and is visiting villages throughout the district for the rest of this week and the next two weeks.
On Monday mornings it can be found at Boosbeck pit park play area, and moves on to St Margaret's Way play area, in Brotton, on Monday afternoons.
On Tuesdays, the bus is stationed at Moorsholm Youth and Community Centre play area all day, and on Wednesdays it visits the play centre at Carlin How Community Centre with a pick-up at Skinningrove along the way.
The next stop for the bus is Charltons Community Centre and play area on Thursdays before it reaches its final destination - William Harker Hall at Easington - on Fridays.
Jan Croudacre, sports and play development officer for Redcar and Cleveland Council, said : "It is going well. The children are playing games at all the venues. Mainly it is outdoor activities such as rounders and football, but there is some arts and craft work because the children are decorating the bus."
Sessions cost 25p or 50p for a full day.
