GOVERNMENT cash is giving support to adults learners in North Yorkshire.
Free courses are on offer at the county's adult education centre, Grantley Hall, near Ripon.
The Adult Residential Colleges Association has secured funding from the Department of Education to offer the courses free of charge.
The scheme is targeting groups which are particularly under-represented in adult learning.
There are 20 places available over the next six months and support may be provided for up to the cost of a two-day residential course - to include tuition costs, materials, meals and accommodation.
Grantley Hall manager Louise Dart said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for people who don't usually participate in adult education to have a go."
