DEPRIVED areas of Teesside are to receive cash from round six of the Single Regeneration Budget (SRB) programme announced yesterday.
At least £10m has been awarded to Stockton to tackle social exclusion in the town's less well off areas.
Projects will focus on getting people back to work, improvements to local areas, and creating a future for young people.
The same amount has been awarded to speed up the regeneration of central Middlesbrough.
The money will be used to improve the appearance of the main commercial areas in the town centre, including Albert Road, Corporation Road, Linthorpe Road South and Grange Road.
Redcar and Cleveland was awarded £7.875m, which will be used to support a wide range of regeneration projects.
Hartlepool's Headland has been awarded £7.725m
