A FATHER-OF-TWO was jailed yesterday for six months after police found cannabis worth £800 at his girlfriend's home.
Owen Robinson, 27, had four plastic bags of the drug hidden in the house at Murton, Seaham, County Durham.
Yesterday, Robinson, of Tofts Crescent, Murton, appeared before Teesside Crown Court and admitted possession of cannabis with intent to supply.
Judge Peter Fox, QC, jailed Robinson for six months and told him: "If you want to ruin your own life with cannabis it's up to you, but it is making a profit out of ruining other people's lives that is the serious aspect."
The court was told Robinson's family were financially dependent on him. His girlfriend had not been aware of the extent of his involvement in cannabis. The supply of cannabis was a one-off to one or two individuals.
