A CHEESE making business is celebrating another success after scooping an international honour.
North Yorkshire cheese maker Shepherds Purse was among the British Cheese Board members who took a total of 28 first prizes at this year's Nantwich International Cheese Show.
The Thirsk-based company picked up two awards of excellence, for its single speciality blue veined soft cheese and for its single sheep's milk cheese.
Judy Bell, of Shepherds Purse, said she was delighted with the company's success. "It's always a good feeling to get an award - we've had a great year."
Secretary of the British Cheese Board, Nigel White, said yesterday: "Nantwich is the Oscar ceremony of all cheese shows.
"For our members to receive so many awards is a great achievement and is excellent news for the British cheese industry as a whole.
