Guisborough Town is one of six Albany Northern league sides that have drawn the short straw and must play in the newly created extra preliminary round of the FA Cup. They are at home to Chadderton Town on Saturday, August 26, at the King George V ground, and if they win they will have another home game against NL top-flight rivals Hebburn.

Darts: East Cleveland Mens Darts League is holding its annual general meeting on Tuesday, August 15 at The Maynard Arms, Carlin How, at 7.30pm.
