CONCERN about noise nuisance is to result in a North-East hotel being told to take down an entertainments marquee.
The Hall Garth Golf and Country Club Hotel, at Coatham Mundeville, near Darlington, has applied for the renewal of permission to erect a marquee for six months a year.
The marquee, which is situated to the west of the hotel complex, is used for a number of purposes, including music and entertainment.
But councillors are likely to refuse permission for the marquee because of a number of noise complaints from local residents.
Five letters of objection and a 33-name petition have been sent to Darlington Borough Council.
The authority's planning applications committee will be recommended to refuse planning permission on Wednesday.
