AN improvement package for a Hartlepool leisure centre looks likely to be approved by councillors.
A report to the community services and safety board of Hartlepool Borough Council, which meets on Friday, recommends that a £52,000 facelift for the Mill House Leisure Centre is given the go-ahead.
It is hoped the work will be finished by the end of the year, although it would mean parts of the centre closing in December.
The improvements include replacement of swimming pool changing room cubicles, improvements to the water system, repairs to waterslide supports and improvements to the filtration system.
There will also be repairs and relining of squash court floors, better disabled access to the pool, new carpets on the sports hall balcony, and parts of the pool will be retiled
