A PRIMARY school is to host a visit from its Euro-pean partner schools to work on an environmental project.
Last year, St Patrick's RC school in Stanley Street, Consett, set up a three-year environmental project with its twinned schools in France, Italy and Spain.
The initial aim was to look at recycling in the respective towns. A year on, staff and pupils from the continent will visit St Patrick's to compare notes and set out plans for the coming academic year.
The next phase of the international partnership will focus on combating pollution.
Pupils from each school will be using a digital camera and video recorder to prepare presentations on a local river and the impact pollution has had on it.
The foreign pupils and staff will visit St Patrick's from September 9 to 14
