TOWN councillors who are considering building another play area on open space in Bedale are seeking the views of local people.
A sub-committee looking at the future of the space on the Burrill Road estate has prepared a questionnaire for circulation to all houses in the area.
The move was agreed after it was learned earlier this year that some residents could be against the project.
Householders are being asked four questions about the open space, which the town council took over from a private developer.
Councillors agreed in May to consider ideas for a play area, which could include swings, a toddler unit and train, football posts and a picnic area.
The project would be aimed at children aged under eight.
The cost was estimated at £20,000, possible sources of funding being Bedale Recreation Association, Hambleton District Council and Yorventure, which makes grants from landfill tax credits.
