A SCHEME has been set up to help teams of youngsters investigate career choices and options for education, training and employment.
This year at the school a year ten tutor group worked in teams and investigated leisure and tourism, sport, performing arts, information technology and child care.
Pupils visited sports grounds, theatres, nurseries, colleges and York's Jorvik Viking Centre.
At the end of their projects they planned displays and compiled evidence, which was presented at the University of Durham's Stockton Campus.
In recognition of their achievement, each pupil received a certificate from the Mayor of Stockton.
Everyone agreed the experience of transition teams had been enjoyable and they had learned a great deal from it - not only in terms of career opportunities, but also about each other.
