YOUNG riders from Richmond Motor Club received two days of intensive training in the art of Motorcycle Trials recently.
World Championship rider Graham Jarvis, who finished fourth in the 1999 World Motorcycle Trials Championships, came along with other Auto Cycle Union coaches to train 41 riders aged from seven to 17 years at Grinton.
The youngsters, all club members, were taught in groups the skills needed to negotiate the rocks, streams and hillsides required by the sport.
The club currently has a youth membership of 60 riders, several of which are riding at British Championship level.
The riders all received a personal action photograph from the event and a certificate of attendance. Prizes sponsored by Richmond Motor Club, White Bros Motor Cycles, Castrol, Bedale Motor Factors and Malcolm Rathmell Sport were also presented
