'CANNY youngsters in East Cleveland are being given the opportunity to earn some serious cash during the long summer holidays.
Cleveland Metals, of the Longbeck Trading Estate at Marske, are encouraging local youngsters to collect valuable aluminium drinks cans for recycling - seven out of ten drinks can be made out of valuable aluminium.
The youngsters will be doing their bit to help protect the environment as well as earning themselves some extra pocket money.
During the next few weeks, more than half a billion aluminium drinks cans will be sold in the UK. Based on the value of the can, if they were all to be collected more than £3m would be paid out to the young collectors.
