BBC Radio Cleveland was broadcasting from the offices of The Northern Echo this morning.
One of the region's best-known broadcasters, Alan Wright presented his show from the chair of famous former editor WT Stead.
Stead, the greatest campaigning journalist of his generation, perished when the Titanic sank in April 1912.
Alan Wright was talking about the history of the paper with the present editor Peter Barron and other staff at the newspaper and this website.
Readers were also able to call the show and e-mail their comments for the programme, which finished at 12pm on this web site.
