A decorated bus will be calling around the region to give advice to jobseekers and employers.
The Employment Service's summer information roadshow will call at towns including Gateshead, Billingham, Seaham, Middlesbrough and Redcar throughout the month.
Staff on the specially commissioned Stagecoach bus will be available to give advice and information to anyone looking for work or wanting to recruit staff as part of the New Deal.
Deputy regional director of the Employment Service, Diane Hedley, said: "We are constantly looking for ways to help people find out more about what we can do to help them find work. Through the kind assistance of Stagecoach, we are able to take information right into the heart of the community."
The tour starts tomorrow in Gateshead and finishes on Thursday, August 31, at the Tyne Tunnel Trading Estate in North Tyneside.
