A GROUP of young people gave a town a performance of their artistic skills at the weekend.
The show, which was staged in Stanley's Front Street on Saturday, was the culmination of three weeks' work by Busy Ape Arts with young people aged from 14 to 16 years.
The youths have been exploring their feelings about the town through performance, photography, mask-making, movement and creative writing.
They choreographed a dance and made masks based on imaginary characters. They also picked the music for the event.
A free residency at Burnside Resource Centre in South Stanley, which began on July 24, was run by Busy Ape artists Carl Kennedy, Tori Pearson and Dino Jacovides.
It was aimed at youngsters who would not normally come into contact with the arts
