POLICE are concerned for the safety of a missing Durham City pensioner who suffers from Alzheimer's disease.
George Alexander Harding, 83, was last seen in the garden of his home in Geoffrey Avenue, Nevilles Cross, at 3pm on Saturday.
Today it was believed Mr Harding, who is keen on bus travel, may have left the Durham City area.
Police on foot patrol and a helicopter search of Nevilles Cross failed to find any sign of him.
Inspector Dave Marshall said: "We are very concerned for Mr Harding's well being and would urge anyone who thinks they may have seen him to contact the police."
Mr Harding is described as 5ft 10ins, wearing grey trousers and a beige short-sleeved t-shirt.
Anyone with information can call Durham City Police on 3864222.
