AN ENTERPRISING couple have started a business after transforming a doll into a Miss Whiplash.
Frank and Suzanne Pitt, from Gateshead, are selling their Dungeon Dolls on a website and are doing a roaring trade.
The couple hand-make their figures, which they have named Lily von Frauenau, at their home.
Frank, 51, said: "We modify the dolls ourselves and make all the props.
"There are a lot of people who get a lot of fun and pleasure out of it. Since the website has been up and running we have had nearly 7,000 hits."
The 12in dolls cost £150 and take more than a day to make.
Frank said: "They are totally unique. Some people might want to buy two or three dolls and make up a little scenario.
"We are slowly building up a fan club for Lily."
He added: "In the 1950s there was an adult doll made in Germany called Lily.
"She was quite a sexy kind of doll but she got adapted to be more for kids and more mainstream. We have just raised her from the dead.
