YOUNG audiences were introduced to the best international performers with their own junior festival club.
The children's club at the Billingham International Folklore Festival proved a great success on its first day yesterday.
Youngsters packed the theatre at the Billingham campus of the Stockton and Billingham College to watch Slovakian dancers in costume.
Children's club attractions this week will feature performers from Africa, Poland and China.
A magician's tricks help to give the event a party atmosphere.
For £2.50, children can attend the remaining three days.
On Wednesday, the festival has a free day for children in John Whitehead Park, Billingham, when volunteer youngsters from the audience will get a chance to dance with performers.
