A NUISANCE drunk is back behind bars after being at liberty only hours.
John Newman, 35, made history when he was served with the first anti-social behaviour order in County Durham, in June, due to persistent misconduct which has seen him arrested 212 times.
Most of his arrests have been for drunkenness and also for making hoax 999 calls for ambulances, when drunk.
Under the terms of his order, Newman risks prison if he makes anything but genuine 999 calls, or if he appears drunk in public in Durham City.
He was jailed twice within weeks of the order being made, for terms of one and two months, for breaching the order.
After his release last Thursday he was arrested within hours, for drunkenness.
Police confirmed yesterday that Newman, of Braunespath Estate, New Brancepeth, near Durham, has been jailed for a further two months by city magistrates.
