A Tees Valley training company has entered the Best New Business in Tees Valley Awards.

Branta Training Management provides a diverse range of training to local firms and recently secured new premises in Stokesley.

The firm has entered the awards competition which is sponsored by Canada Life and Marketing Assessments.

The awards programme has been designed to recognise and reward those businesses in the Tees Valley which will be the future creators of wealth and employment.

Branta, which employs 12 full-time and ten part-time employees, provides organisations with their training requirements.

"We help firms manage their people and their training," explained David King, a director with the firm which he helped set up in August, 1999.

"We work with clients in various areas, including team building, leadership and NVQs."

Mr King and fellow director Colin Thompson set up the firm after working with a large corporate group on Teesside. Branta has entered the category of best service business, sponsored by Jarreds Office Equipment Group.
